Support our team
“I would like to say congratulations to our Blue Devil team and for all the fans of the Blue Devils, please wear your blue and white all this week in support of our team. We love you. Put on your blue and white. Put your flags on your cars. Dress up like a Blue Devil and just show your support and your love for our guys. We love you and we are cheering for you. Go Big Blue.”
Courteous care
“I would like to express my appreciation to Troy, the PA, and the nurses and Dr. Ferner for the excellent care given to me while I was a patient in the emergency room. My mother and my sister thank you also for the courtesy shown to me. Thank you all.”
No-pol list?
“I am so sick and tired of these political advertisements coming in over the telephone that something really needs to be done about it. You no more than hang up than here it goes again. ...If you can tune out some of it with other calls, the ones that you do not solicit, then this should be listed under the non-solicited ones.”
They care
“We agree. Brother Joe and Sister Vicky, the pastoral staff and teachers at Tift Avenue Church of God really care about their church and community.”
Getting worse?
“‘Make ‘em study.’ You haven’t got a clue of what is really happening in our schools. Standardized testing has little to nothing to do with what your kids study. Some school systems are now only teaching to pass the standardized tests. This No Child Left Behind IS failing more children. My kids were forced to go to school and forced to do their assignments. I would not do that again. I would not force my child to graduate from a Georgia public school as they stand right now. It was torture then and it’s worse now.”
Best ever
“This rave is for Meagan, a young lady working at Yankee Clipper. She is so kind and polite. I received the best perm and hair style I have ever had. Thank you, Meagan.”
Champs
“This Rave is for the Wendy’s 7/8 year old football team and their 9-1 winning season. You boys are CHAMPIONS! And a special thanks to Coaches Weeks, Manning and Cromer for a great season.”
Proud ‘Nana’
“I would like to say thank you to my grandson, Chris Calhoun, who was one of those ‘stuck in Iraq.’ He graduated from Tift County High in 1996 and served six years in the United States Marine Corp. I am very proud of him. Love from your Nana.”
Do something
“When will the city do something with the old Lankford Manor? It’s an eyesore and local bat hangout, not to mention vagrants...”
Thanks, Jan
“This is a rave about Jan Creech, an ER patient rep at Tift Regional. Jan, with her smile, gracefully comforts the patient as well as the family during their stressful time in the ER. Praise God for people like Jan Creech. Thank you, Jan.”
