A big thank you
“This is a big thank you to all the three fine people who stopped at our home, helped us get out and called the fire department. I failed to ask their names, but I realized how fortunate we are to have them drive by and see the smoke coming out from under the house and helping us get out. Thank you to the fire department, EMS and all of our friends, insurance people and electricians who assisted in this home fire. Thank you.”
Is there a bus?
“I would like to congratulate the Tift County Blue Devils on their win and their trip to the Georgia Dome and I hope they are successful, but I would like to know if you have any other transportation for your fans. I know a lot of people who would love to go but they don’t have any transportation. Is there going to be a chartered bus or anything that would get them there? Please let us know something. We love you, Blue.”
A life skill
“Driver’s ed should be a prerequisite for a driver’s license in every state including Georgia. This is not an overburden on the schools. It is a life skill for the rest of your life. It is more important than some classes that are offered and some that are mandatory. You may be a responsible parent, but judging by the number of teen deaths, some parents are only filling out forms backed with no merit at all. Teens need to be driving before they leave home for college or life at 18. Lawmakers are leaning toward changing the driving age to 18 and that is really too late. Put driver’s ed in the schools for all able-bodied students as part of their diploma. The disabled that will never drive will be exempt.”
The worst
“I just wanted to Rant & Rave about the officials on Friday’s game. They were by far the worst game-calling officials I have ever seen in my whole, entire life. Go Blue Devils, baby.”
Slow down
“I would like to voice my opinion about the dirt bikes and golf carts in Ty Ty. I’ve never seen law enforcement anytime and I really believe it is getting out of hand. These young kids are flying up and down the streets and on the back streets and I have never seen law enforcement doing anything about it. I would just like to rant and rave that I would appreciate it if the law would do something about these motorcycles before one of these young kids get killed or kill somebody else.”
It’s time
“Class of ‘97, where are you? I’m waiting to hear from you about a reunion. It’s time. Please get in contact with us. Give us a message. Put an ad in the paper or something.”
100 percent
“I would just like to say Go Tift County Blue Devils. Being a great supporter of the Blue Devils, I would like to ask for every Tift Countian to please put Tift County High School flagss on your cars all week long to support our Tift County Blue Devils. We are on our way to the Dome. Support them 100 percent. Go buy your flags that have Tift County Blue Devils on it so we can support them always.”
