The high ground
“The Israeli government has consistently violated the Oslo Peace Accords. Each time Israel violates this treaty it lends credence to the beliefs of Islamic extremists, and it makes our presence in Afghanistan and Iraq more untenable. Our government should pressure Israel to seize the moral high ground by honoring the agreement they made with the Palestinians.”
Any rights?
“I totally agree with ‘Where do you turn’? I know that jobs are hard to come by, but how much does an employee have to put up with? Do we have any rights? When you try and go to the right person, then your manager wants to get mad and then he/she wants to make out like you are the trouble maker.”
Good idea
“Congratulations to the Heritage group for the foresight to plant trees in the historical district. I would suggest planting live oaks instead of willow oaks for their longevity and disease resistance. Also, we should be cutting some trees in Fulwood Park and replanting them for future generations to be able to enjoy large mature trees.”
Dangerous roads
“This is a Rant for the Tift County and Irwin County road departments. The Willis Still Road and the Macedonia Church Road are a menace. Daytime driving is bad enough, but at night it’s extremely dangerous. No yellow lines, no white lines and no shoulders. At least you can afford to paint the lines if you can’t fix the shoulders. Fix this immediately before someone is seriously hurt.”
