On behalf of the almost 400 riders who experienced the hospitality of your fine city, I would like to extend a sincere thank you to the City of Tifton and Tift County for an outstanding job of hosting the 18th annual Georgia Bikefest, Oct. 9 – 11, 2009.
Many people were instrumental in making our event a total success – Mayor Jamie Cater; the Tifton Police Department and the Tift County Sheriff’s Department; Fran Kinchen and her colleagues at Downtown Tourism; Craig Sowell, Doug Walls, Chris Barber, and the entire crew at the Tift County Recreation Department; and the volunteers who staffed the rest stops for our riders Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
A special "thank you" goes to all the friendly folks of Tifton. You truly are "The Friendly City." We look forward to visiting you again next year.
Come ride with us! And, please, share the road with bicycles.
Sincerely,
BICYCLE RIDE
ACROSS GEORGIA,
INC.
