Rant and Raves for Nov. 14

Goodbye

“Thanks to Obamacare, Blue Cross Blue Shield told my phone their plans to raise premiums Jan. 1, 2014 here in Georgia. I am giving up my Chula citizenship and moving to another country. Goodbye.”

Thanks for the call

“I have a rave for Regina Wells and Brandy Craven. Thanks for the 5 a.m. donkey call! I hope Jack finds a good home.”

Tea Party questioned

“For the past two years the Tea Party has been wanting to ‘take our country back.’ My question is this, Where has America gone? What do they want to ‘take back.’ Last time I checked America was still here. Instead, the Tea Party needs to join us Democrats in making America a better country.”

Get off it

“Turner Co. really needs to get off it. Dr. Holland is a great coach and mentor to our young men.”

Recruiting woes

“Shame on Holland if he is recruiting. Takes away from the kids that have lived here most of their lives and dreamed of being a Blue Devil!!! Go Devils!!!”

Slow down

“Can somebody please tell Orgill employees that South Central is not a race track at 6:50 in the morning.  If you have to be at work by 7 a.m., leave a little early so you don't run folks over trying to get to work on time.”

Thanks for I-75

“As I witness all the new construction along I-75 in Tifton and the additional construction close to I-75, I look back to a earlier NO I-75 time in Tifton and recall three Tifton leaders who worked quitely and hard to have I-75 routed through Tifton and adjacent to U.S. Hwy. 41, instead of adjacent to Albany and along U.S. Hwy. 19. Thank you Denean Stafford and Paul Fullwood and past City Manager Shell Hartley for your efforts that have forever changed the path of Tifton.”
