Do your part...
“My co-worker has an excuse every other week or so to be out of work, and is behind on almost all of her work. I am here every day and my work is caught up...I don't feel like I should have to pitch in and help someone who can't seem to work 40 hours a week.”
Never heard
“With all the talk about Social Security problems with all the new Baby Boomers, you never hear anything being said about the World War II veterans dying in great numbers or about the number of people paying in who never lived to draw any.”
Be ashamed
“What has this world come to when you’ve got parents taking their kids to go to see a horror movie that’s got a lot of nudity in it... Parents, you ought to be ashamed of yourselves.”
Debt to society
“I’ll tell you something that gets my goat. Every day I see city and county workers mowing and/or Weed-eating somewhere in the city or county at, let’s say an average of $11 an hour maybe. OK, at the same time, from what I’m told we have anywhere from 300-500 locked up in the city or county jail that the taxpayer is paying on the average $85 to $125 a day to incarcerate, and they’re inside the wire, in the air conditioner watching TV. Does somebody else besides me see where these inmates could be working out their debt to society in place of the city and county workers, and maybe they could be freed up to actually maintain the infrastructure.”
