Bad idea
“When ‘We the people’ allow one person to control state elected positions, our lives will be in worse shape than they are today.”
Old brew
“Re ‘Tea party’: It's an old brand called PATRIOTISM; brewed by the grace of God, and sweetened with the Holy Spirit. Come try it, it's very revealing. I guarantee you'll like it.”
Red herring
“Some idea to save money. Please show me one incident in South Georgia, or anywhere in Georgia for that matter, where someone prevailed in a ‘frivolous lawsuit’ related to health care. This is simply a myth. All lawsuits taken to trial are decided by 12 members of the electorate. It's the most democratic process we have. It's also a red herring in the health care debate. If you want to find the real culprits, find the 10 most successful insurance agents in our area and compare how they live compared to your average doctor or lawyer. And most of them don't have advanced degrees. That's where you'll find our health care money.”
The experts
“Reading the R&R; one cannot help but notice that we have plenty of experts on both sides of the aisle in this town; and each one feels he's right.”
Real life 101
“A huge Rave to the high school teachers who teach “Real Life 101’: 1) Don't play the lottery; 2) Live a little below your means; 3) How to balance a checking account; 4) How to shop for a car; 5) How to invest small to earn big with compound earnings. Ooops, I apologize, these essential items aren't being taught.”
