Police report for August 23

Crime briefs:

• A man who lives in the 1000 block of Washington Street reported Saturday that a person he knows cut him on his left hand after a brief argument.

• A woman who lives in the 120 block of East Cherry Street in Ty Ty reported Saturday that an unknown person entered her residence and took property valued at approximately $220 without authority.

• A man reported Sunday that someone unknown to him had entered into a yellow 2008 International Prostar semi-tractor at Penske Truck Center in the 170 block of Jordan Road and took property therein without authority. The business will prosecute, the report states.

• An anonymous caller reported Sunday that flames were emerging from behind a shed in the area of Union Road at Rutland Farms. The report states that the Tifton-Tift County Fire Department arrived on scene and tended to the fire, which was believed to have started by some dry tobacco leaves that were sitting too closely to a gas line.

• A man who lives in the 140 block of Omega-Eldorado Road in Lenox reported Friday that he came home and discovered that his front door had been forced open causing minor damage to the door frame. He reported that nothing was missing from the residence.

• A man reported Friday that when he went to clean the mobile home in the 4900 block of Old Union Road, he discovered that the electric meter was missing. The report states that Colquitt Electric Membership Corporation was notified and requested to come out and place a cover on the open meter base.

• A woman who lives in the 100 block of Pine Street reported Saturday that an unknown person took her central air conditioning unit valued at $4,000.



TIFTON POLICE DEPT.

Richard Darin Davis, 37, 367 Calvin Williams Road, Lenox, was charged Saturday with speeding, driving without insurance and operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration.

Robert Harry Doolan Jr., 63, 419 Tift Ave., was charged Sunday with DUI and failure to maintain lane.

Zenon Rebolledo Gachuz, 28, 155 Parkway Drive, was charged Sunday with driving without a license.

Zenochia Kashiek Johnson, 32, 908 Maple St., Ocilla, was charged Sunday with a probation violation.

Demetrius Deshawn Lewis, 26, 113 Quince St., was charged Sunday with simple battery and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

Fidela Angeles Mendoza, 32, 155 Parkway Drive, Lot 4, was charged Saturday with following too closely and driving without a license.

Dallas C. Robinson, 38, 4 Clint Circle, was charged Saturday with DUI, failure to maintain lane and speeding.

Marilyn Denise Ross, 39, 1433 Shanna Drive, was charged Sunday with a parole violation.

Gregory Lenton Vaughn, 28, 382 Ga. Highway 125 S., Lot E-19, was charged Saturday with a safety restraint violation and driving with a suspended or revoked license.



TIFT COUNTY

SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Rosa Marie Perez, 29, 1319 Ty Ty-Omega Road, Lot 2, was charged Sunday with theft by taking.



GEORGIA STATE PATROL

Orville Ingaius Moton Jr., 24, 1401 Whispering Pines Road, Albany, was charged Saturday with driving with a suspended or revoked license.



OMEGA POLICE DEPT.

Alberto Diaz, 20, P.O. Box 1091, Omega, was charged Sunday with failure to stop at sign and driving without a license.
