Tift County schools lunch menus

TIFTON — At the beginning of this school year, the Tift County School System switched to a rotating lunch menu plan that includes four weeks of different meals and then starts over with the same menu as the first week. For January, because of the Christmas holiday, the rotation begins on Tuesday, Jan. 4, with the Week 4 menu.



The menus for each week are:



Week 1

Monday: Cheeseburger, hot dog, over fries, carrot sticks with dip, Scooby grahams and assorted fruit.

Tuesday: Chick filet sandwich, cheese quesadilla, tossed salad, corn on the cob, cookies and assorted fruit.

Wednesday: Chicken nuggets, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, broccoli with cheese sauce, rolls and assorted fruit.

Thursday: Pizza wedge, ribbette sandwich, tossed salad, Elf grahams and assorted fruit.

Friday: Taco with meat and cheese, grilled chicken sandwich, lettuce/tomato salsa, whole kernel corn and assorted fruit.



Week 2

Monday: Asian chicken, sausage link, stir fry rice, steamed veggies and assorted fruit.

Tuesday: Turkey and cheese sub, cheese quesadilla, baked chips, baked beans and assorted fruit.

Wednesday: Cheese stuffed breadsticks with spaghetti sauce, chef salad, tossed salad and assorted fruit.

Thursday: Salisbury steak with gravy, chef salad, Cheez-It Scrabble Jr., mashed potatoes, green beans and assorted fruit.

Friday: Corn dog, cheeseburger, crispy fries, veggies with dip, fruit sherbet OR assorted fruit.



Week 3

Monday: Hot ham and cheese sandwich, steak sandwich, corn on the cob, lettuce, tomato and assorted fruit.

Tuesday: Chicken tenders, salad plate, Cheez-It Scrabble Jr., stir fry veggies, macaroni and cheese and assorted fruit.

Wednesday: Manager’s Choice

Thursday: Barbecue sandwich, fish sandwich, apple slaw, oven fries and assorted fruit.

Friday: Pizza, sandwich plates, Elf grahams, tossed salad and assorted fruit.



Week 4

Monday: Spaghetti with meat sauce, tossed salad, garlic bread and assorted fruit.

Tuesday: Salisbury steak with gravy, chef salad, Cheez-It Scrabble Jr., mashed potatoes, green beans and assorted fruit.

Wednesday: Turkey and cheese sub, cheese quesadilla, baked chips, baked beans and assorted fruit.

Thursday: Cheese stuffed breadsticks with spaghetti sauce, chef’s salad, tossed salad and assorted fruit.

Friday: Chick filet sandwich, chef’s salad, lettuce, tomato, pickle, corn niblets and assorted fruit.
