TIFTON — Eighth Street ran their record to 3-0 on the season as the Blue Devils’ eighth grade team defeated Valdosta Middle by a 37-0 score Thursday in Valdosta.
The Blue Devils owned scored three touchdowns in the first quarter and led 37-0 at the end of the first half.
Ladarrius Stewart opened the game with an 85-yard kickoff return for touchdown. Tadric Jackson added the two point conversion to give Eighth Street an 8-0 lead.
Jackson then hooked up with Devarious Butler for a 50-yard touchdown pass to give Eighth Street a 14-0 lead after the PAT failed.
Stewart scored on a 10-yard run and also ran in the 2-point PAT to give Eighth Street a 22-0 lead at the end of the half
Stewart scored his third touchdown of the half with a 30-yard run. Jackson added the 2-point PAT to extend the lead to 30-0.
Just before halftime, and with Valdosta driving, Jackson picked off a Wildcat pass and returned it 80 yards for another Blue Devil touchdown to give Eighth Street a 37-0 lead at the half.
Stewart rushed for 103 yards on eight carries and Jackson completed 6-of-10 passes for 122 yards.
The Blue Devils will host Hahira Thursday.
Also, the seventh grade team defeated Valdosta 14-0 at home on Wednesday, and the JV Devils were defeated 34-0 at Houston County.
