TIFTON — The Tift County Blue Devils will be playing the Roswell High Hornets Saturday at the Georgia Dome in the Class AAAAA state semifinals. A Tift win would put the Devils in the state championship for the first time since 1983 and it would also mean the Devils would host a state football championship game for the first time in school history.
With that possibility in mind, Lil’ TRILL is planning a remix of the “Devil Walk”.
“We are working on it,” TRILL, aka Josh Jordan, said.
“If Tift wins, we would have a remix out sometime between Monday and Wednesday,” Lester Cromer Jr., aka DJ FREEZ, added.
However, it could even be out earlier than Monday.
“We could carry the studio to Atlanta and do it up there or come straight home and do it late Saturday night,” Cromer said. “It would be a huge win, so we would work on it as soon as possible.”
The song, which is distributed by the OneVision Media Group, has become a statewide story.
After OneVision did a song for the 2006 Blue Devils baseball team, the group decided to do something with football.
Jordan and Cromer got together at the start of October to do the song and as soon as it was completed, it was played over the public address system at Brodie Field. The success then led to a music video being shot on Oct. 26.
The video has been played over WONE-TV (Channel 96), the local media outlet for OneVision which goes into not only Tifton, but into Cordele, Adel, Moultrie, Ashburn and Sumner.
With that increased exposure, the song has become so popular that people in surrounding counties have become TRILL fans.
