ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Kate Dozark of Orlando, Fla., and Shine Taylor of Tampa, Fla., were united in marriage at a 4 p.m. double-ring ceremony May 23, 2009 at the private home of Deb Camfferman in the Roser Park Historic District of St. Petersburg, Fla., by the Honorable Anne C. Conway, United States District Judge.
The bride is the daughter of Peggy Wesselink and Tony Dodson of Gulfport, Fla., and Dr. and Mrs. David Dozark of Iowa City, Iowa. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Taylor of Tifton.
Best man was father of the groom, James Taylor. Groomsmen were Dr. Greg Herzog of Columbia, S.C., Nathan Johnson of Tifton and Doug Dozark of Gulfport, Fla.
Bridesmaids were Kaitlin Bingham of Jensen Beach, Fla., Amanda Cook of Alexandria, Va., and Amy Taylor of Athens, Ga.
The bride was given in marriage by her father, David Dozark. She wore a formal designer gown with white orchid accents in her hair and carried a bouquet of white orchids with purple accents.
RECEPTION
A reception was given by the bride’s parents following the ceremony at Peg’s Cantina in Gulfport, Fla.
Guests were greeted by the bride’s parents and served fresh seafood and fruit appetizers and a full dinner buffet.
The bride’s cake was a three-layer white cake decorated with live orchids. The cake table was presided over by Judge Conway.
Sherri and Frank Liebenow assisted with the reception party.
The couple honeymooned in Costa Rica. They will reside in the Orlando/Tampa area where the groom is a Ph.D. graduate student at the University of Florida and the bride is a law clerk in the United States District Court.
