NASHVILLE —
Elbert Emory Bailey, 72, of Nashville, died Thursday Sept. 6, 2012 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Mickey Lindsey officiating. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery.
He was born Dec. 15, 1939 in Ben Hill County to the late Emory Bailey and the late Mattie Lucy Childs. He retired from Chaparral Boats as plant manager and attended Flat Creek Church. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Gina Lynn Bailey, who died in 1973.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Poole Bailey of Nashville; son, Michael (Lakin) Bailey of Nashville; granddaughter, Addie Bailey of Nashville; two sisters, Jeanette Starling of Valdosta and Mary Grace Faircloth of Sparks; a brother, Jimmy Bailey of Nashville; and a brother-in-law, Lamar Poole of Pearson.
Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville is in charge of arrangements.
