WEST BERRIEN —
David Fletcher Clark, 70, of West Berrien died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012 at Memorial Hospital of Adel. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Brookfield Baptist Church. The Rev. Gary Cadwell and the Rev. Edward Mimbs will officiate with burial to follow at Oakey Grove Primitive Baptist Church in Berrien County.
Jeffrey Clark, Luke Clark, Lee Brooks, Eric Clark, Doug Divine, Trey Womack and Phil Hendley will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the active deacons of Brookfield Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Clark was born on Feb. 12, 1942 in Colquitt County and was the son of Harvey W. Clark and Versie Daniel Clark, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Joan Eichenlaub Clark; his second wife, Paula Hendley Clark; and a son, James Fletcher Clark. He was the owner of Clark Food, Inc., which owned the International House of Pancakes in Adel and Valdosta and was also a partner of I-75 Tire Company in Tifton. Mr. Clark was a member of Brookfield Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He was also active in the Mell Baptist Association. He retired from the United States Navy as a senior chief and served in the Vietnam War. He had a great love for his church and family.
Mr. Clark is survived by his wife, Judy M. Herring Clark of West Berrien; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Dwayne Daniel and Ginger Clark of Moultrie, Logan Ross Clark of West Berrien and David Shawn and Crystal Clark of Naples, Italy; a daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Paul Borboa of Jacksonville, Fla.; a stepson, Arch Clark Jr. of Nashville; a stepdaughter and her husband, Christie and Trey Womack of Tifton; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Henry Lee and Cathy Clark of Norman Park and Paul W. and Sarah Ann Clark of Lenox; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Louise and Jr. Moore of Berlin and Linda and Jerry Brooks of Norman Park; two grandchildren and their spouses, Rebecca Danielle and Tom Richter and Savannah Brook Clark; two step-grandchildren, Dru and Dax Womack; and three great-grandchildren, Hannah Rose Richter, Jakob Thomas Richter and Isabella Lorraine Richter.
