Therman Walker, 57, of Washington, D.C., formery of Tifton died Friday, Aug. 31, 2012. Funeral services will be held Saturday at Beulah Hill Baptist Church, with repast to be held at the Neighborhood Service Center. Survivors include a son, Toddrick Roberson; a daughter, Andrea Roberson-Carter; as well as siblings, Bobby Cooper and Mary Jones of Atlanta, Larry Steward of Tifton, the Rev. Herman Walker of Cocoa, Fla., Bishop Walter Walker Jr. of Tifton, the Rev. Foris Walker of Orlando, Fla., Anthony Walker and Nathaniel Varnadoe of Tifton. Peggy Ann Hilliard, 76, of Adel passed away Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012 at Langdale Hospice House in Valdosta. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at New Life Baptist Church in Adel, with the Rev. Donnie Duncan and Dr. Danny Ray officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. Saturday at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave. in Adel. Survivors include a son, Bruce Hilliard of McDonough; four daughters, Cindy Boykin of Adel, Linda Stripling of Hahira, as well as Brenda Stockdale and Kay Mixon, both of Stockbridge.
