TIFTON —
Down 21-7 late in the game Friday night against the East Laurens Falcons, the Irwin County Indians got a 59-yard touchdown run with 3:33 left in the game to make the score 21-13. However, Irwin could not get the game tying touchdown and fell to 1-2 on the year with the 21-13 loss.
Irwin’s other touchdown came in the second quarter when Clay Paulk hit Chris Wynn on a 5-yard touchdown pass. Petro Goolsby added the point after.
Studstill led a balanced rushing attack for the Indians with 64 yards on six carries. Wynn had five catches for 57 yards.
Irwin County will be in Irwinton Friday to face the Wilkinson County Warriors.

County millage rate remains same
Tift County Commissioners voted unanimously in a called meeting Tuesday to keep the millage rate set at 12.183 for both incorporated and unincorporated areas of the county.

I was able to take a trip down to Tampa this past weekend with my mom to see my niece in her dance recital.We didn’t get to see her dance in her recital. She kept saying she was sick, and we all kept saying, “You’ll be OK...it’s just nerves.”
