Irwin County falls to East Laurens, 21-13

TIFTON — Down 21-7 late in the game Friday night against the East Laurens Falcons, the Irwin County Indians got a 59-yard touchdown run with 3:33 left in the game to make the score 21-13. However, Irwin could not get the game tying touchdown and fell to 1-2 on the year with the 21-13 loss.

Irwin’s other touchdown came in the second quarter when Clay Paulk hit Chris Wynn on a 5-yard touchdown pass. Petro Goolsby added the point after.

Studstill led a balanced rushing attack for the Indians with 64 yards on six carries. Wynn had five catches for 57 yards.

Irwin County will be in Irwinton Friday to face the Wilkinson County Warriors.
