TIFTON —
Sole Medical Spa/Family PrimeCare of Tifton was among the medical facilities across the country that had been shipped drugs from the New England Compounding Center (NECC). The NECC was found to have distributed a steroid that was linked to a recent national outbreak of meningitis.
Here is a statement released on the matter by Sole Medical Spa/Family PrimeCare:
"Like many providers in our region Sole Medical Spa and Family PrimeCare LLC have ordered compounded products from time to time. The only product our office obtained from New England Compounding Center (NECC) after May 21, 2012 was hyaluronidase. This product can be used to reverse skin filler injections and is kept sealed unless used. It is a standard product that cosmetic physicians are expected to have on hand. It has never been opened or used in our office. We have never ordered or used the steroids from NECC that are suspected in the meningitis outbreak. None of our patients were ever exposed to any NECC product of any kind."

There was the spectacle of advocates of an ever-larger regulatory government expressing shock about such government's large capacity for misbehavior.
