Death notices for Aug. 17

Vera Gandy Rogers, 72, of Sparks, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Boone Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Rogers is survived by a son, Terry W. Rogers of Sparks; five daughters, Jane Bullard of Adel, Teresa Gibbs of Adel, Sherry Huckaby of Adel, Karen Brooks of Douglasville and Melinda Weeks of Adel. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. today at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave. in Adel. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.boonefunerals.com.

Darrel Ray Goodwin, 71, of Tifton died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012,  at Tift Regional Medical Center. Services for Mr. Goodwin will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors with burial at Zion Hope Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. today at Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors. Complete obituary information will be provided by Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors. Among his survivors is his wife, Ann W. Goodwin of Tifton; son, Eric Ray Goodwin of Tifton; daughter, Alyssa Ann Goodwin of Waxahachie, Texas; two brothers, Carl Goodwin Goodwin of Tifton and George Goodwin of Sylvester; and a sister, Grace Bankston of Ty Ty. Annie L. Putman-Chapman, 60, of Tifton, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012 at Tift Health Care Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church with burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Survivors include two sisters, Floria Sumption of Tifton and Betty Shannon of Jacksonville, Fla. Arrangements are entrusted to Taylor Family Funeral Service.

Christine Davis, 67, of Tifton died Monday, Aug. 13, 2012 at Tift Regional Medical Center. The family will receive friends at 5 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Taylor Family Funeral Service. Survivors include a sister, Katie Ruth Hopkins of Tifton; and two aunts, Emma Humphrey of Tifton and Eva Lois Humphrey of Ashburn. Arrangements are entrusted to Taylor Family Funeral Service.
