Death notices for Oct. 6

James Freeman Hester, 90, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012.  Funeral services will be held in Fort Walton Beach, today. Also, local funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at Mount Zion Baptist Church, Chula, with burial following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends before the service from 2 until 3 p.m. Monday, also at the church. Russell Warren “Russ” Carns, 21, of Ty Ty, died Friday, October 5, 2012, at his residence. Among his survivors are his parents, Ron and Rose Carns, and his brother, Ross Carns.  Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors.
