The coolest
“I want to send a rave to the Golden Environmental workers who have been so nice to wave and honk when my son came out to see the garbage truck. Men, that little boy thinks y’all are the coolest people on earth.”
Looking up
“No president is by any means perfect. However, Obama has said several times the president cannot fix everything, and cannot be blamed for the state of the country. If this is true, why does he always blame Bush, then get angry when people blame him. We look up to our leader; it is time we had a leader worth looking up to.”
Enough to go around
“No president could fix issues in three or four years that have been coming for 30 years. Technology and foreign labor have cut the need for a huge manufacturing work force. All our investment has gone to the military to the tune of $900 billion annually. All else has gotten left behind... like education and healthcare/Social Security which should be our top concerns. It’s not just one guy’s fault.”
Get ‘em out
“To: ‘It's not right’ — The problem is the FOR-PROFIT health insurance companies... It is past time to take the profit out of health care and focus on HEALTH of patients and get the lobbyists, corporate money and special interests out of Washington and politics.”

Girls basketball had long road to equality
When Georgia decided in 1945 to play a girls state basketball tournament, Macon Telegraph writer Sam Glassman was in favor, writing that the district tournaments that had always been held were just as strenuous. Days later, though, he wondered about the mental strain it was causing the players.

Southern problems...some folks got’em
I was able to take a trip down to Tampa this past weekend with my mom to see my niece in her dance recital. We didn’t get to see her dance in her recital. She kept saying she was sick, and we all kept saying, “You’ll be OK...it’s just nerves.”
