ENIGMA —
Mrs. Kathleen Harris Conger, 81 of Enigma died at her residence Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012. Graveside services will be conducted at Vickers Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery at 11 a.m. Saturday with Mrs. Conger’s son-in-law, Darrell Sumner and other family members providing the eulogy. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today in the chapel of Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors.
Pallbearers will be Bruce Conger, Joe Sumner, Richard McCranie, James Penzo, Chance Davis and Bryan Bullington.
Born on Dec. 4, 1930 in Nashville to Archie and Mattie Harris, both of whom preceded her in death, Mrs. Conger worked as a telephone operator with Southern Bell. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Riley Thomas Conger, a granddaughter, two sisters and four brothers.
Survivors include two sons, Bennie Conger and Bruce Conger, both of Enigma; three daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Darrell Sumner of West Berrien Community, Bonnie and Thomas Harrell of Nashville and Belva and Robert Mizelle of Pearson; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; as well as two brothers, Olen Harris of West Berrien Community and Joe Harris of Jacksonville, Florida.
Flowers will be accepted by the family or donations can be made in lieu of flowers to the Alzheimers Association, 315 2nd Street West, Tifton GA 31794.

The Minnesota Vikings qualified for the NFL playoffs Sunday with a 37-34 win over the Green Bay Packers. The Vikings will have a rematch with the Packers at 8 p.m. Saturday in the first round of the postseason Saturday in Green Bay. The game will be broadcast on WALB and NBC. It will be the first NFL playoff game for Tifton native Larry Dean (51), who leads the special teams for the Vikings.
