SUMNER —
Wayne Reynolds, 74, of Sumner, died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012 at Heritage Health Care of Ashburn. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Banks Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Clements Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Layfield officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. at Banks Funeral Home.
Mr. Reynolds was born Dec. 26, 1937 to the late Willie Monroe and Beulah Estelle McDonald Reynolds. He had lived in Worth County all his life. Mr. Reynolds was formerly employed with Miller Brothers Packing Company as a butcher. He was a member and deacon of Shingler Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Reynolds was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Erick Hitt, and a son-in-law, Derek Richards.
Survivors include his wife, Jackie Lunsford Reynolds of Sumner; son, Deloyd Reynolds of Sylvester; daughters, Teresa Hitt (Rick) of Sumner and Sandra Richards of Chula; grandchildren, Samantha Deal, Becky Reynolds Morris, Stanley Deal, Amanda Richards, Anna Richards, Rikki Hitt and Gabriel Hitt; great-grandchildren, Christopher Manders, Briley Deal, Dylan Morris and Delilah Morris; and three brothers, Wesley Reynolds of Coverdale, Frank Reynolds of Sylvester and Edward Reynolds of Sumner.

Tattnall Square tops Tiftarea, 6-2
Ernie Banks used to say, "let's play two." In a game that was as long as two and was defined early on by errors and later by a pitching duel, it would be offense that propelled the Tattnall Square Trojans past the Tiftarea Academy Panthers, 6-2 in 14 innings. Tattnall, who won the first game of the series, 4-1 before dropping game two, 6-3, will meet Mount de Sales in the Class AAA semifinals next week.
