Crime briefs:
• A man reported Wednesday that some items were stolen from a vehicle on Highway 82 West. There was also damage to the vehicle estimated at $800.
TIFTON POLICE DEPT.
Keith Jarreau Alexander, 22, 720 Timmons Drive, Apt. 52, was charged Wednesday with misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
Quincy Jermanie Holley, 39, 405 S. Livingston St., was charged Wednesday with defective equipment, driving with a suspended or revoked license and a child restraint violation.
Marvin McKendall Waller, 48, 4109 Martin Ave., was charged Wednesday with criminal trespass.
TIFT CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE
Juan Carlos Martinez, 34, 6147 U.S. Highway 319, Omega, was charged Wednesday with DUI, driving with a suspended or revoked license, failure to obey traffic control device and habitual violators revoked license.
GEORGIA STATE PATROL
Patrick Joseph O’Rear, 32, 4784 San Saba Drive, Hahira, was charged Wednesday with failure to stop at sign, driving without a valid tag/license and driving with a suspended or revoked license.
Eric M. Smith, 32, 1124 Pinewood Drive, Apt. B, Plainfield, Ind., was charged Wednesday with speeding and driving with a suspended or revoked license.

Tift County almost pulled off an incredible feat this year, having two teams in the baseball quarterfinals.. It was a great year for baseball at all area schools, all eight of them in the postseason. Both Kyle Kirk's Tift County Blue Devils and Brad Porter's Tiftarea Academy Panthers came within an eyelash of doing even better: the final four.
