TIFTON —
Kenneth Charles “Kenny” Cosper, 49, of Tifton, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, in Slidell, La.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday at Turner Church Cemetery with the Rev. Joe Wiggins officiating. The family will receive friends at Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors Monday from noon until the time of the service.
Chris Sikes, Dean Baker, Shannon Cowart, Steve Cowart, Steven York and Michael Cosper will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Cosper was born Aug. 15, 1963, in Tifton to the late Charles William Cosper and Ernestine “Tina” Watson Cosper who survives and resides in Tifton. In addition to his father, Mr. Cosper was also preceded in death by a grandchild, Matthew Cosper, and his grandmother, Marie Watson.
Mr. Cosper graduated from Moultrie Tech where he studied architectural drafting and design. He was employed by Leo Gilcrest Construction. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and riding his motorcycle. Mr. Cosper was of the Pentecostal faith.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Cosper is survived by his wife, Roxanne Kearce Cosper of Omega; his children, Charles Cosper and Deanna Hardy of Tifton, Wendy Cosper of Brookfield, Kristi Kidd of Cool Springs, Beth and Rusty Bozeman of Scooterville, Carrie Varnadore of Tifton and Brandon and Allison Smith of Fitzgerald; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Ricky D. Baker Sr. and Betty S. Baker of Brookfield and Wayne and Julie Ann Cosper of Tifton; 14 grandchildren; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The Tift County Blue Devils, who were only just barely eliminated in the state quarterfinals, placed two players on the All-Region team for 1-AAAAAA. The region, which sent three teams to the elite eight in the state tournament, named Lowndes’ Danny Redshaw Coach of the Year.
