NASHVILLE —
Lora Dale Tucker, 72, of Nashville died Tuesday Jan. 8, 2013, at her residence. The family will honor her request for cremation. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Lovein Funeral home with visitation one hour prior to the service.
She was born Feb. 14, 1940 in Berrien County to the late Clarence McLendon and the late Lora Lucille Tyson. She was a homemaker and member of the Nashville First Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by a son, Terry Dewayne Tucker.
She is survived by her husband, Johnny W. Tucker of Nashville; two sons, Johnny W. Tucker Jr. of Thomasville and Gregory S. Tucker of Ray City; two grandchildren, Gregory Shawn Leatherery of San Antonio, Texas and Jennifer E. Tucker of Nashville; and two sisters, Sue Mathis of Valdosta and Brenda Wallace of Adel.
Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville is in charge of arrangements.

County millage rate remains same
Tift County Commissioners voted unanimously in a called meeting Tuesday to keep the millage rate set at 12.183 for both incorporated and unincorporated areas of the county.

I was able to take a trip down to Tampa this past weekend with my mom to see my niece in her dance recital.We didn’t get to see her dance in her recital. She kept saying she was sick, and we all kept saying, “You’ll be OK...it’s just nerves.”
