Sheriff’s Office responds to fight, stabbing

TIFTON — Tift County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a fight at a residence on Benjamin Street at approximately 11:38 p.m. Monday.

According to Maj. Bobby Brannen at the TCSO, the victim, Eric Tabor, reported that he had been stabbed several times by William Lee Flowers. Flowers was arrested at the scene and charged with aggravated assault, he said.

Tabor was transported to Tift Regional Medical Center by Tift County Emergency Medical Services. Flowers is currently in the Tift County Jail.

Investigator Adam Tanner has been assigned the investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact him at the sheriff’s office at 388-6021.

In other unrelated cases:

• A man reported Friday that someone entered his residence on Casseta Road and took items valued at $700.

 A woman who lives in the 2600 block of Whiddon Mill Road reported Monday that her back door was open when she returned home. She told police that the padlock for the back door was lying on the ground, not far from the back door. She reported that property valued at $641.99 was stolen.

• A man reported Friday that two subjects entered company automobiles at TCA Electrical Contractors on Leslie Locke Road and stole several items. An employee’s personal vehicle was also entered.

• A man who lives in the 3300 block of Holt Street reported Sunday that someone entered his residence by force and took several items.

• A woman who lives in the 300 block of West 10th Street reported Sunday that someone threw a red brick through the window of her vehicle and then took her purse.

• A woman who lives on Tifton-Eldorado Road reported Sunday that someone entered her home and stole a television, cell phone, one pack of Newport cigarettes and $6 in cash.

• A woman who lives on Clint Circle reported Saturday that someone tried to pry open her front door. Entry was not made into the residence. There were several pry marks on the front door latch, the report states.
