Courtney Whipple, 24, of Fitzgerald, formerly of Tiftton, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2013 in Fitzgerald. Funeral services are incomplete and will be announced by Southview Mortuary, Inc. Professional care and services are entrusted to Southview Mortuary, Inc.
Rhonda Maxine Green, 56, of Tifton died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, in Tift County. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday at First Assembly of God in Tifton with burial following at Oakridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday at Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors. Among Miss Green’s survivors are her sisters, Rita Brooks of Tifton and Ramona Bryan of Ringgold, and her brother, Jimmy Green of Summerville. County millage rate remains same
Tift County Commissioners voted unanimously in a called meeting Tuesday to keep the millage rate set at 12.183 for both incorporated and unincorporated areas of the county.

I was able to take a trip down to Tampa this past weekend with my mom to see my niece in her dance recital.We didn’t get to see her dance in her recital. She kept saying she was sick, and we all kept saying, “You’ll be OK...it’s just nerves.”
