Jacqueline Carol West Cook, 67, of Tifton died Friday, Oct. 12, 2012 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. The Rev. Ronnie L. Vice and the Rev. DeWayne Franks will officiate with burial to follow at Oakridge Cemetery.
Men of Grace Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Cook was born on Sept. 12, 1945 in Tifton and was the daughter of Benjamin Franklin West and Vola Bell Hogan West, both deceased. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Tifton and retired as a teacher from Grace Baptist Christian School. She had lived in Tifton all of her life.
Mrs. Cook is survived by her husband, Thomas “Tommy” E. Cook of Tifton; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael J. and Fran Cook and Joshua J. Cook, all of Tifton; a brother and sister-in-law, Taddy R. and Vickie West of Tifton; a niece and her husband, Misti M. and Brent Day of Tifton; and a life-long friend since childhood, Pat Farr of Tennessee.

The Minnesota Vikings qualified for the NFL playoffs Sunday with a 37-34 win over the Green Bay Packers. The Vikings will have a rematch with the Packers at 8 p.m. Saturday in the first round of the postseason Saturday in Green Bay. The game will be broadcast on WALB and NBC. It will be the first NFL playoff game for Tifton native Larry Dean (51), who leads the special teams for the Vikings.
