ALAPAHA —
Rosa Miller, 93, of Alapaha died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012 at her residence. A graveside funeral service was held Monday, Oct. 22 at Mt. Paron Cemetery with the Rev. Chris Martin officiating.
Mrs. Miller was born Jan. 16, 1919 in Berrien County to the late Zack Railey and the late Mamie Metts. She was a homemaker and the widow of O.D. Miller, who died in 1987. She was preceded in death by a brother, Willie Railey.
Mrs. Miller is survived by her son, Roy (Bonnie) Miller of Nashville; three sisters, Allie Mixon of Irwinville, Mamie Gaskins of Alapaha and Sarah Brogdon of Alapaha; two granddaughters, Angela Spann of Nashville and Amanda Miller of Orlando, Fla.; and two great-granddaughters, Colby Spann and Finley Miller.
Memorials are requested to Bethany Hospice.
Lovein Funeral Home in Nashville is in charge of arrangements.

“Keep calm and stop the violence,” “Save our streets” and “No more violence” were the words echoed by Eighth Street Middle School students early Tuesday morning as they stood in front of the school behind caution tape and orange cones, shouting and holding up signs as they waved at passing motorists who smiled and returned the gesture.
