Northside Primary School names student leaders

TIFTON — Third graders at Northside Primary School in Tifton held their annual Student Council elections Sept. 28 after studying democracies and elections recently. The students participated in the elections by first selecting individual class representatives. Each class representative then campaigned to become the Student Council president and gave a speech to the entire third grade body. Voting followed the speeches, and the third graders made their presidential choice in classmate Juviah Lara. She will serve as president of the council for the 2012-2013 school year. Each of the class representatives will also serve on the council for the school year. Pictured, left to right, are Olivia Hudson, Rusty Roberts, President Juviah Lara, Destiny Harpe, Summer Ewings and Haven Bullington.
