Ga. mother charged with baby’s death from meth

FAYETTEVILLE (AP) — A mother has been charged with murder after her 2-month-old son died of methamphetamine intoxication in March.

Fayetteville Police say Kaisha Poulson was arrested Wednesday on one count of felony murder, one county of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and two counts of cruelty to children. Police say they received a 911 call on March 7 about a baby who was not breathing.

A Georgia Bureau of Investigation autopsy showed the infant died from meth.

Police say the charges against Poulson also include an incident where authorities say she showed a 14-year-old how to use meth, a highly addictive drug. The mother remains at the Fayette County jail.
