TIFTON —
Zoltan Francis Lorinczy Jr., 63, of Tifton, died Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at his residence.
A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Alapaha with Father Justin Ferguson officiating. A private interment will be held later.
Born March 6, 1950, in Budapest, Hungary, to the late Zoltan Lorinczy Sr., and Rosalia Vary Lorinczy, Mr. Lorinczy was also preceded in death by one brother, Peter Lorinczy.
Mr. Lorinczy was a United States Marine for nine years where he served in Viet Nam. He worked as an aircraft electrician and was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Alapaha.
Mr. Lorinczy is survived by his wife, Lorna Swanson Lorinczy of Tifton; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Jason and Cherish Lorinczy of Hawaii, Josua and Debbie Lorinczy of Pensacola, Fla., Jeremy and Gretchen Lorinczy of West Virginia, and Levi Job Lorinczy of Tifton; five daughters and one son-in-law, Teresa and Jim Morrison of Pennsylvania, Elizabeth Lorinczy, Rebecca Lorinczy, Veronika Lorinczy, and Bernadette Lorinczy, all of Tifton; sixteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one sister-in-law, Mary Lorinczy of Ypsilanti, Mich.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Ann’s for Mass Intentions, c/o St. Ann’s Catholic Church, P. O. Box 212, Alapaha, Ga. 31622.

Tattnall Square tops Tiftarea, 6-2
Ernie Banks used to say, "let's play two." In a game that was as long as two and was defined early on by errors and later by a pitching duel, it would be offense that propelled the Tattnall Square Trojans past the Tiftarea Academy Panthers, 6-2 in 14 innings. Tattnall, who won the first game of the series, 4-1 before dropping game two, 6-3, will meet Mount de Sales in the Class AAA semifinals next week.
