Death notices for Nov. 2

STATESBORO — Odessa Howell, 99, of Sparks died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012 at South Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Community Church in Adel with interment at Sparks Cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Leonard of Sparks. Arrangements has been entrusted to Taylor Family Funeral Service.

Mrs. Geraldine Battle, 90, Tifton, died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012 at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time. Services entrusted to Frank and Solomon Nixon Funeral Home. www.nixonfh.net.
