Elfrida Wollitz, 75, of Nashville, died Monday at South Georgia Medical Center. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Lovein Funeral Home.
Pearlie Nash, 96, of Nashville, died Monday in the Berrien County Hospital. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Lovein Funeral Home.
Wilson Lamar King, 67, of Alapaha, died Tuesday at South Georgia Medical Center. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Lovein Funeral Home.
Jake Dale Daughtrey, 22, of Adel, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, in Lowndes County. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Survivors include his parents, Richard Dale Daughtrey and Lisa Carrie Spurlin Daughtrey, both of Adel, and a brother, Blake Daughtrey of Adel. Boone Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Leaving aside the seriousness of lawlessness, and the corruption of our civic culture by the professionally pious, this past week has been amusing. There was the spectacle of advocates of an ever-larger regulatory government expressing shock about such government's large capacity for misbehavior. And, entertainingly, the answer to the question "Will Barack Obama's scandals derail his second-term agenda?" was a question: What agenda?
