Panthers fall to Crisp Academy

TIFTON — It was a tough night on the road for the Tiftarea Academy Panthers as the Crisp Academy Wildcats took three of four games.

The junior varsity boys, the only winners on the evening, did so in a big way. They annihilated their opposition, 47-6.

Three players managed to equal the Wildcats point output. Sam Varnadoe had 16 and Baily Cunningham and Josh Hancock each scored six. They are now 5-1 on the season.

The junior varsity girls were on the short end of a 40-20 score. Madi Smith led with six points. Their record now stands at 2-3.

In varsity action, the Lady Panthers lost 54-22 to drop to 8-11.

The boys came close in a low-scoring contest, but fell, 34-28. Ethan Mims scored nine and Austin Stripling added six.

Last night, Tiftarea hosted Stratford Academy.
