TIFTON — You can join the Tift County Animal Shelter at Tractor Supply Company on Saturday, Feb. 9 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. for a pet adoption event. There will be at least four dogs and two cats available for on-the-spot adoption. The homeless pets will be current on vaccinations and will already be spayed or neutered, which will enable them to go home with their new family immediately. Adoption fees cover the vaccinations and the spay/neuter procedures and are only $65 for dogs, and $55 for cats. Emma (top) and Blacky (right) are two of the pets which will be available at the adoption event. Local animal lovers’ favorite Save Our Pets t-shirts will also be available that day for $10. All proceeds from the sale of the shirts go to support Tift County’s spay and neuter assistance program.
