Public invited to attend special Talent-Benefit Show

TIFTON — The public is invited to attend a “Talent-Benefit Show” from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 6 at the Leroy Rogers Senior Center. This event is being presented by Southern Care Assisted Living to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association and to promote Alzheimer’s awareness.

Penny Hancock, activities director, said a wide variety of talent will be performing, and there will also be a cake auction. Tyrone Spearman will serve as the master of ceremonies.

Tickets will be sold at the door for $5. Proceeds will go towards the Alzheimer’s Association.

Also, Hancock noted that the Alzheimer’s Walk will be Sept. 29 at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.

She commented that Alzheimer’s is the sixth leading cause of death. There is no other chronic disease that affects so many without a way to cure, prevent or even slow its progression, she said.

For more information on the show, contact Hancock at 921-2020.
