IRWIN COUNTY —
Jimmie M. Kelly, 78, of Irwin County died Thursday, June 21, 2012 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at Eureka Primitive Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Cummings officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Kelly was born on Aug. 24, 1933 in Douglas. She was the daughter of the late Warren and Dora Mae Smith Fletcher. She returned to Irwin County in 1993 from Jacksonville, Fla. where she had worked at King Edward Cigar Company. Mrs. Kelly was a member of the Waterloo Homemaker’s Club. She was also a member of Irwinville United Methodist Church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Kelly; a sister, Alejo Moore; and a niece, Jo Karen Cox.
Mrs. Kelly is survived by her sister, Karleen Lane of Irwin County; nieces and nephews, Warena Youmans, Kimberly Youmans, Beth Youmans and Gary Vowell, Eric Cox, Heather Cox and Chris Butler and Jay and Melissa Youmans; and many great-nieces and nephews.
