TIFTON —
Nancy McGinty Fant, 74, of Tifton, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at Tift Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at the First Presbyterian Church of Tifton with the Rev. Hugh Ward officiating. Burial will follow at Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2:30 p.m. Monday at the church.
Grandsons of Mrs. Fant will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Fant was born Aug. 23, 1938, in Camp Hill, Ala., to the late Robert Heard McGinty and Sara Harrison McGinty.
Mrs. Fant, a homemaker, had lived in Tifton for the past nine years where she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She had been a faithful Presbyterian all of her life. She also was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Tift Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Fant was very proud of her children and grandchildren.
Mrs. Fant is survived by her husband, Lee Jackson Fant Jr.; her sons and daughters-in-law, Bob and Eileen Fant of Colorado Springs, Colo., and David and Teresa Fant of Tifton; her sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Bill Mills of Sterling, Va.; her grandchildren, David and Janelle Fant, Jonathan and Jessica Fant, Sara Fant, Christopher James Fant, Allen and Nicky Lamb, and Andy and Jessica Sumner; and four great-grandchildren, Leilani Fant, Micah Fant, Tucker Lamb, and Taylor Lamb.
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the American Cancer Society-Tift County Unit, P. O. Box 8, Tifton, GA 31793.
