NASHVILLE —
Charles Raymond Hayes, 64, of Nashville, died Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Berrien County Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Clarence Luke officiating. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. today at Lovein Funeral Home.
He was born March 5, 1949 in Cook County to the late William Elmer Hayes and the late Fannie Mae Day, He was also employed with MSI in Tifton, J.H. Harvey Co. in Nashville, and was retired from the Berrien County Board of Education Maintenance Division at Berrien Middle School. He was also a member of Ruth Forrester Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a brother, Carroll Hayes and 2 sisters, Faye Gaskins and Nell Sumner.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma May Hayes of Nashville; son, Josh Hayes of Nashville; two grandchildren, Caleb and Anslie Hayes; three sisters, Myrtice MacGregor of Kissimmee, Fla., Donna Lyons of Warner Robins, and Joan Hester of Adel; three brothers, Edward Hayes, Donald Hayes and Johnny Hayes all of Adel. Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville is in charge of arrangements.
