TIFTON —
The Tiftarea Academy Lady Panthers junior varsity squad won the region championship Saturday with an impressive win over Southland Academy, 40-15, to finish the season undefeated, 13-0. The boys were defeated in their first game by Brookwood School, 22-20.
In the finale against Southland, Maci Paulk led Tiftarea with 10. Caroline Mann contributed nine and Macy Strenth seven. The 13-0 mark is the second one the Tiftarea junior varsity team has had. Softball also finished 13-0
In the first girls game against Brookwood, Tiftarea thrashed their opponents 35-21. Paulk scored 11, Strenth 10 and Hannah Gunter, six
In the boys 22-20 loss to Brookwood, Logan Carswell and Michael Garvey each had eight points. They finish 5-7.

Leaving aside the seriousness of lawlessness, and the corruption of our civic culture by the professionally pious, this past week has been amusing. There was the spectacle of advocates of an ever-larger regulatory government expressing shock about such government's large capacity for misbehavior. And, entertainingly, the answer to the question "Will Barack Obama's scandals derail his second-term agenda?" was a question: What agenda?
