TIFTON —
David Bernard Schien Jr., 44, of Tifton died March 11, 2013, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Private services and burial will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends March 13, 2013, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Schien was born on December 1, 1968 in Decatur and was the son of David Bernard Schien Sr. of Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Alice Kay Reese Hester of Tifton. He was an electrician.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Schien is survived by his ex-wife, Lillie Braswell of Tifton; one son, David Bernard Schien III of Dublin; one daughter, Ashley Du'anne Todd of Dublin; and one grandson, Layland Todd of Dublin.

Tattnall Square tops Tiftarea, 6-2
Ernie Banks used to say, "let's play two." In a game that was as long as two and was defined early on by errors and later by a pitching duel, it would be offense that propelled the Tattnall Square Trojans past the Tiftarea Academy Panthers, 6-2 in 14 innings. Tattnall, who won the first game of the series, 4-1 before dropping game two, 6-3, will meet Mount de Sales in the Class AAA semifinals next week.
