LENOX —
Michael Andrew Spears, 28, of Lenox died Monday, Oct. 15, 2012 at Cook Medical Center in Adel. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mr. Spears was born Jan. 17, 1984 in Adel to Sandra Blanchard of Tifton and the late Wade Hamilton Spears. A sales associate with the Lenox B.P. Station, he enjoyed repairing things, drawing, all aspects of construction work and he was mechanically inclined. He was a Christian and grew up attending Fourth Street Baptist Church.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Spears is survived by his fiancee’, Jennifer Greer of Lenox; a son, Joseph Blackwell of Tifton; a step-daughter, Rachel Hughes of Tifton; a sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Tony Dorman of Tifton; a brother, Estill “Red” Spears of Tifton; and several nieces and nephews.

County millage rate remains same
Tift County Commissioners voted unanimously in a called meeting Tuesday to keep the millage rate set at 12.183 for both incorporated and unincorporated areas of the county.

I was able to take a trip down to Tampa this past weekend with my mom to see my niece in her dance recital.We didn’t get to see her dance in her recital. She kept saying she was sick, and we all kept saying, “You’ll be OK...it’s just nerves.”
