TIFTON —
The Fillies soccer team will host the first round of the soccer playoffs against Middle Georgia College on Oct. 23 at Fillies Field at 4:30 p.m. on the campus of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. This is the third consecutive time that ABAC has hosted the first round of the playoffs.
“Our team chemistry is great,” said Fillies head coach Jimmy Ballenger. “Our ladies pull for one another and we have had great crowd support. We want that same sup-
port for the playoff game and last home game of the season.”
The Fillies will enter the playoffs with an 11-7 record. Freshman Nikita Morris scored 32 goals in one regular season of play, tying the school record previously set by Melissa Johnson from the 2011 Fillies team.
“Hopefully we will be able to break that record in this last game at home,” Ballenger said.
The Fillies will bat- tle Middle Georgia for the chance to continue in the playoffs on Oct. 26 in Albany against Geor- gia Perimeter at 4 p.m. The final tournament will be held in Albany on Oct. 27.
