Congressman Austin Scott will be hosting Medicare Part D workshops in Tifton, Warner Robins and Forsyth for Medicare beneficiaries. The workshop in Tifton will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday on the Moultrie Technical College-Tifton campus at the Economic Development Building, located at 52 Tech Drive.
Medicare Part D open enrollment lasts from Oct. 15-Dec. 7. According to the local office, “This is the only time you can make changes to your Medicare prescription drug benefit.”
The workshop in Forsyth was held Oct. 23. The workshop in Warner Robins will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 13 at Middle Georgia Technical College, Building H, located at 80 Cohen Walker Drive.
At these workshops, staff and volunteers will be able to personally answer people’s questions and help them compare the options available.
“The Medicare Part D plans change each year. Reviewing your option during open enrollment will ensure that you are enrolled in the plan that best suits your needs,” says the local office.
Attendees are asked to bring a comprehensive list, with dosage amounts, of all their medications. Expedite the process by filling out the Medicare Part D Enrollment Event Worksheet before the workshop, which is available at http://AustinScott.house.gov.
For more information, call the Tifton office at 396-5175.
