Charlie "Dick" Hart, 80, of Colquitt died Sunday, September 23, 2012, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Sheffield Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Talmadge Worsley officiating. Interment will follow at Cook's Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7 until 9 tonight at Colquitt Funeral Home.
Mr. Hart was a maintenance supervisor with Agrium Fertilizer and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Hart was preceded in death by his parents, James and Willie Hart; one sister, Claudia Mae Amerson; and one brother, James Hart.
He is survived by his wife, VaLear Hart of Colquitt; four sons, Charlie Hart Jr. of Pace, Fla., Chris Hart of Cottondale, Fla., Jeffery White of Apex, N.C., and Richie (Becky) Hart of Sneads, Fla.; two daughters, Jeanine Mobley of Hazelhurst and Jody (John) Cashion of Graham, N.C.; one adopted daughter, Jessica Walker of Hazelhurst; one adopted son, Michael Walker of Bryson City, N.C.; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lawson (Peewee) Hart of Colquitt, and Charles Hart of Bainbridge; and one sister, Annie Pearl Clenney of Colquitt.
Colquitt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
