TIFTON —
Edith "Connie" Miller, 72, of Tifton died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012 at Tift Regional Medical Center. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Miller was born Aug. 8, 1940 in Marion County to John Lightfoot and Elby Henry Lightfoot. She was a homemaker and a member of the Eastern Star in Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Loyd Miller; and three brothers, Billy Wendall Lightfoot, Ronnie C. Lightfoot and Ronald Lightfoot.
Mrs. Miller is survived by her sons, Kenneth Miller of Sacramento, Calif., and Paul Miller of Dallas, Texas; brother, John Royce Lightfoot of Fitzgerald; and sister, Virginia Lightfoot Vangarder of Tifton.

Tidal Wave takes third triumph at Georgia Games
The Tiftarea Tidal Wave improved to 3-0 with their victory June 15 at the Georgia Games. The team placed many swimmers in competition, including several first and second place finishers.

Southern problems...some folks got’em
I was able to take a trip down to Tampa this past weekend with my mom to see my niece in her dance recital.We didn’t get to see her dance in her recital. She kept saying she was sick, and we all kept saying, “You’ll be OK...it’s just nerves.”
