TIFTON —
Geraldine Lenette Rewis Haynes, 72, of Tifton, died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at Tift Health Care.
Private services will be held at a later date.
Born April 11, 1940, in Worth County to the late Perlie A. Rewis and Mattie Louise Bussell Rewis, Mrs. Haynes was also preceded in death by her husband, Joel Juson Haynes Jr.; a son, Joseph Suggs; a brother, James Rewis; and a sister, Ida Pritchard.
Mrs. Haynes had retired from Shaw Industries.
Mrs. Haynes is survived by three daughters and one son-in-law, Doris and James NeSmith of Leesburg, Joy Glover of Moultrie, and Audrey Mullis of Tifton; two sons, Stephon Suggs of Tifton and Michael Todd of North Carolina; one brother, Charlie Rewis of Sylvester; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank the staffs of Hospice of Tift Area and Tift Health Care Nursing Home for their compassion.

Tattnall Square tops Tiftarea, 6-2
Ernie Banks used to say, "let's play two." In a game that was as long as two and was defined early on by errors and later by a pitching duel, it would be offense that propelled the Tattnall Square Trojans past the Tiftarea Academy Panthers, 6-2 in 14 innings. Tattnall, who won the first game of the series, 4-1 before dropping game two, 6-3, will meet Mount de Sales in the Class AAA semifinals next week.
