Ola Mae Everson, 81, of Tifton died at her residence March 4, 2013. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Frank and Solomon Nixon Funeral Home.
Guy Koonce Moore, 76, of Adel died March 3, 2013 at South Georgia Medical Center. A rosary service will be held at 5:30 p.m. today at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Adel. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. at Mr. Moore's home Wednesday for a celebration of life (you may pay your respects anytime after 3 p.m. Wednesday). A memorial service and funeral mass will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave., Adel. A committal service will follow later Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville. He is survived by his wife, Mary E. Moore of Adel; three sons, Alan Moore of Adel, Raymond Moore of Jackson, Tenn. and David Moore of Bartlett, Tenn.; six daughters, Christina Holland of Nashville, Cynthia Holt of Covington, Tenn., Melanie Sanders of Hahira, Rebecca Moore of Bartlett, Tenn., Evelyn Moore of Adel and Colleen Purvis of Nashville. Boone Funeral Home, Adel is in charge of arrangements.
Corra Lee Cox Bracewell, 87, of Tifton died March 4, 2013, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. March 8 in the chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Flowers will be accepted or memorial gifts may be made to the Gideons International, Tifton Gideon Camp, P. O. Box 7051, Tifton, GA 31793; or to Easter Seals of Tift County, 1402 Tift Avenue North, Tifton, GA 31794. Complete obituary information will be provided later. Tift County almost pulled off an incredible feat this year, having two teams in the baseball quarterfinals.. It was a great year for baseball at all area schools, all eight of them in the postseason. Both Kyle Kirk's Tift County Blue Devils and Brad Porter's Tiftarea Academy Panthers came within an eyelash of doing even better: the final four.
