Kenton Winston "Kent" Carter

WEST BERRIEN — Kenton Winston "Kent" Carter, 61 of West Berrien died March 4, 2013 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Cadwell officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday at Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville.

He was born in Hillsborough County, Fla. to the late Leroy R. Carter and the late May Eighth McClellan. He was a retired sales manager with Master Craft Tifton Plant and member of the Brookfield Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kendra Marlene Carter, who died in 1981.

He is survived by: his wife, Mavis Marlene Ellis Carter of West Berrien; daughter, Karla (Daniel) Mallard of West Berrien; son, Kenyon (Christine) Carter of Atlanta; two grandchildren: Gabrielle and Kason.

Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville is in charge of arrangements.
